Meet Kelsey
As soon as Kelsey discovered that Interior Design was a profession, at twelve years old, she decided that it was the career path for her. The ability to combine her love for people and building relationships with her imaginative and creative side in a job setting was instantly her dream job. She figured out the necessary steps to take and set out on a journey to achieve her goal.
In 2007, Kelsey began taking design related courses at Phoenix College. It was here that her love for Interior Design really began to blossom and through internships, she was able to apply her studies to “real-life” situations. Completing multiple internships throughout college provided her with the perfect building blocks to create a solid foundation for her career. She was also introduced to sustainability and quickly realized how important this aspect of design is to her. Kelsey transferred up to Northern Arizona University in 2010 to further her education and explore a new lifestyle in the mountains. After she earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, Kelsey was fortunate enough to land a job, in the industry, right out of school, in the beautiful mountain town of Flagstaff. Working for a smaller, local company inspired Kelsey. As she continually received positive feedback on her ability to help clients feel confident in their ideas and selections; her honest and genuine approach to problem solving; along with her attention to detail and an eye for pulling the design together...her own wheels began turning. This is when Comfort & Co. was created. Kelsey believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to turn a house into their home and she wants to become a face in the industry that helps in that process. Kelsey and her husband, James, split their time between Phoenix & Flagstaff with their dogs, Ruby & Nash. When she is not working, Kelsey enjoys hiking, gardening and exploring. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, baking and playing tennis. There is inspiration everywhere! |
